PALS 1210 - Introduction to Personal Training II1 hour Prerequisites: PALS 1200 This course is designed as a continuation of Introduction to Personal Training I and to provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills in preparation for the American Council on Exercise (ACE) national certification exam in personal training. Topics include guidelines for instructing safe, effective, and purposeful exercise, essentials of the client-trainer relationship, conducting health and fitness assessments, and designing and implementing appropriate exercise programming. Understand how to make program adaptations based on individual client challenges, response to training and environmental conditions. Identify the legal and ethical responsibilities and fair business practices and documentation, as they relate to the personal trainer.
