SPAN 4101 - Peninsular Literature & Culture I

Prerequisites: SPAN 3400. This course is the first part of a survey of Spanish literature in a cultural-historical context. Readings include literary works representative of several genres, cultural trends, and literary movements in Spain, from the Middle Ages to the first half of the nineteenth century. Emphasis will be given to the development of critical skills for literary and cultural analysis.
