MATH 1110 - Math Modeling

Prerequisites: MATH 0090 or appropriate score on SAT/ACT or math placement exam. This course uses graphical, numerical, and symbolic techniques to describe and explore real-world data. Emphasis is on the use of elementary functions (linear, quadratic exponential, logarithmic, and polynomial) to construct useful mathematical models, and to analyze them critically. This course is not meant to prepare students for other mathematics courses.
