HONR 2101 - Excursions in the Fnd of Mathematic

The idea for the seminar is to give students full reign to see and work in a dimension of mathematics that traditional courses almost never even mention: the foundations of mathematics. Briefly speaking, topics will include mathematical logic, set theory, axioms, exposure to well-known unsolved problems, what foundational issues mean for contemporary mathematics, and attempted speculations on what the future holds for mathematics.
