HIST 4062 - American Film History

Prerequisites: HIST 1111 HIST 1112 HIST 2111 HIST 2112. Must be a History major or minor or have permission of instructor. This course traces the rise of the American film industry from its East Coast origins through the fading of the studio era by the early 1960s and 1970s. Emphasis will be placed upon the creative and technological developments of film in general, with a chronological and topical study of Hollywood’s output.
