CHEM 2211 - Organic Chemistry I

Prerequisites: CHEM 1212. A systematic study of the compounds of carbon. This includes the study of aliphatic and aromatic compounds, their properties, nomenclature, preparation of functional groups, reaction mechanisms, and investigation of structure by instrumental methods. Three hours of lecture and two hours of lab are required per week.
