This course covers the long nineteenth century-from 1750 through 1900. Focusing on France, this course covers Rococo, Neoclassicism, Romanticism, Realism, Impressionism, and Post-Impressionism. In addition to art, students will analyze historical, literary, social, political, and cultural developments.
