SPAN 3300 - Introduction to Modern Hispanic Cinema

Prerequisites: SPAN 3100. The course will screen and analyze award-winning films from Spain and Latin America that address important issues in contemporary Hispanic culture. Screenings include feature, documentary, and short-footage films. Some films have English subtitles, but the class will be conducted in Spanish. Students will be asked to write short compositions and a term paper in the form of Spanish film reviews.
