ARTS 3111 - Twentieth Century Art

Prerequisites: ARTS 1100  or ARTS 1110  or ARTS 1111  with a grade of C- or better

This course considers the development of art throughout the twentieth century (c. 1900-1970), addressing the theories espoused by key artists and critics. Focusing on Europe and America, this course covers a variety of movements, including: Expressionism, Cubism, Futurism, Constructivism, Dada, Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art, and Minimalism.
