Specific General Education Requirement for this Major

The following course must be completed with a grade of “C-” or better to be applied towards graduation requirements.

• COMM 1000 - Introduction to Human Communication 3 hours

Lower Divison Required Courses (9 hours)

• COMM 1050 - Introduction to Media Communication 3 hours

• COMM 2010 - Social Statistics 3 hours or
• MATH 2000 - Elementary Statistics I 3 hours

• COMM 2050 - Communication Theory SW 3 hours

Upper Division Required Courses (6 hours)

• COMM 3020 - Empirical Research Methods in Communication W 3 hours or
• COMM 3030 - Critical Approaches in Communication W 3 hours

Breadth Requirement (3 hours)

 Select one 2000 level COMM course from the human concentration (H).
