ODLD 4110 - Wilderness as a Metaphor

Prerequisites: Must be an Outdoor Leadership major. A survey of a variety of literature, film and art that focuses on the theme of wilderness as a metaphor. Students examine physical, spiritual, and experiential dimensions of understanding wilderness as it pertains to self, others and the environment. A personal connection to wilderness is emphasized as students develop a metaphor for their life through the median of wilderness experience.
