COMM 3840 - Media Advocacy and Democracy

Prerequisites: COMM 2050. Students in this course will examine the role of the media in the modern political process. Topics covered include the role of media in the ‘marketplace of ideas’, and the use of media by private and public citizens alike as a platform for advocacy and social change.
