SPRS 3500 - Research and Evaluation for OSPRS 3 hours Prerequisites: ODRS 2130 or SPRS 2110 with a grade of C- or better This course provides students with opportunities to explore foundational research and evaluation methods used across outdoor, sport, recreation, and leisure service fields. The course focuses on critical interpretation of current and future research findings in leisure and recreation journals, use of basic quantitative and qualitative methods, analytical techniques commonly used across evaluation and research methods, and considerations around representation of findings. Further, the course explores the utilization of needs assessment and program evaluation in the planning, management, and administration of facilities and programs. This course’s final project can be used by students to present their work at Undergraduate Research Day.
