PCUL 1100 - Introduction to Popular Culture

An introduction to theorizing and researching popular culture, this course examines various schools of thought in the humanities and social sciences to ask how and why popular culture functions today. Students will develop an interdisciplinary understanding of the relationship between theory and practice in popular culture as they employ relevant methodologies to form questions and interrogate objects and practices that pervade everyday life.
