While we often consume popular media without a second thought, a careful analysis of media like film, television, music, and videogames can reveal much about our everyday positions on complex topics. In this course, students will deconstruct popular media-especially film-in order to see what these media have to say about metaphysics, the limits of knowledge, ethics and our socio-political responsibilities.
