Western medieval thinking was greatly influenced by the philosophy of the ancients, but medieval thinkers evolved ancient ideas and developed their own unique approaches to philosophy. In this course, students will survey a range of prominent medieval thinkers like Augustine, Ibn Sina
(Avicenna), Maimonides, and Aquinas.
