PHYS 3410 - Thermodynamics

4 hours
Prerequisites: PHYS 1112  or PHYS 2112  with a grade of “C-” or better
Co-requisite: MATH 2201  with a grade of “C-” or better Thermodynamics seeks to apply physical and mathematical methods to the investigation of chemical systems.  This first semester course focuses on the topics of classical thermodynamics, equilibria, chemical kinetics, the kinetic theory of gasses, and the phases of matter.  Laboratory experiments will complement the lectures and provide insights into calorimetry, phases, thermodynamics and gas laws.
