GDES 2212 - Typography

Prerequisites: ARTS 2112 and ARTS 2202 with a grade of “C-” or better, or permission of instructor
Typography aesthetics utilizing the legibility of typography within graphic design. Close examination of the basic principles of typography and its theory, practice, technology, and history through the study of letterforms, page composition, proportion, hierarchy, contrast, type identification and the cultural implications of type and image.
