HIST 4052 - Reconstruction I 3 hours Prerequisites: HIST 2112 or permission of instructor. This course presents a study of the re-unification of the nation during the post-Civil War period. The political framework and outcomes in the South will be viewed from inception in 1865 through the abandonment of Reconstruction in 1877, with a preview of the “Redemption” or “Jim Crow” era in the South, which lasted into the middle 20th century.When Offered: Fall or Spring Every Three Years
