ENVS 4991 - Senior Capstone

This course will allow students to engage extensively with published, peer reviewed journal articles to gain fuller understanding of a current research topic or a current practice in the environmental sciences or environmental studies. The student will choose and develop a topic under faculty mentorship. The student will be required to make a formal presentation of the work
during this class and will be required to attend and critique presentations by other capstone students (possibly from other capstone classes (e.g. BIOL 4990, 4991, or ENVS 4990). Students may also be required to attend guest lecturers or documentary presentations as determined by the instructor. This course will serve the requirements for a capstone experience by either the Environmental Science BS major or the Environmental Studies BA major (and will thus be cross-listed).
