HIST 4059 - Passive Resistance Civil Rights 3 hours This is an introductory course in the development of a “Passive Resistance,” non-violent movement for African-Americans and their allies during the 201” century In the United States. Topics include the history and structure of Inequality, movement philosophy and strategies, major events, and the shift to “Radical Civil Rights” that began in the mid-1960s.
