PHIL 2111 - Contemporary Philosophy

Modernity and globalization–including worldwide disasters and wars–have reshaped the character of philosophy in the last 100+ years. Students in this course will engage with the distinctive philosophical movements to emerge in the 20th and 21st centuries, including logical positivism, overlap with cognitive science, interdisciplinarity, and the analytic style of philosophy more generally.
