Prerequisites: HIST 1111 HIST 1112 HIST 2111 HIST 2112. Must be a History major or minor or have permission of instructor. This course is a broad-based survey of the social, intellectual, political, and cultural formations of numerous Latin American nation-states, from 1492 contact through colonialism, independence movements, and modernization efforts of the 20^th century.
