BIOL 2287 - Intro to Beekeeping1 hour This course will survey all of the basic aspects of apiculture, from setting up a hive, basic hive maintenance, to honey production and pollination. Students will attend class one hour per week for a period of 8 weeks during spring semester, including a visit to a local apiary. Students are also required to attend the beginner’s track of the Young Harris College Beekeeping Institute in May. Students are not required to set up or manipulate a hive in this course. A course fee will be required to cover registration costs for the YHC Institute.When Offered: Spring yearly
