SPAN 1101 - Elementary Spanish I

This introductory course is directed towards students with no previous experience in the language. Oral proficiency is stressed, as basic structures are acquired through daily interaction in the classroom. Material includes present tense of all regular and many irregular verb conjugations, object pronouns, and simple sentence structure. Instruction is in the language being studied. In addition to regular lab exercises, every exam includes a written as well as an oral component. Students with two years of high school credit may take this course, but may not use it to satisfy degree requirements.
