This course is designed to present the in-depth analysis of the history of Greece with particular emphasis on the birth of the polis (city-state), the phenomenon of tyranny, the rise of Sparta and Athens, the Persian Wars and the Peloponnesian Wars, Alexander the Great and Hellenistic world, and Greek cultural heritage.
