BUSP 4240 - Internet, Business, and Public Policy

This course is an introduction to characteristics of the Information Society and how they influence business and public policy. Topics include: an historical survey of distinctive characteristics of the Information Society on a continuum of larger social transformation, the importance of building trust in the Information Society, the role of the public sector, the impact of the Internet on business, e-government, e-democracy, and emerging business and public policy issues related to the Internet.
