MATH 3532 - Probability & Statistical Inference 3 hours Prerequisites: MATH 2201 with a grade of “C-” or better. This course is designed to introduce the student to probability and both descriptive and inferential statistics. Topics include: random variables and probability distributions, expectation and variance of random variables, properties of estimators, exploratory data techniques, confidence intervals, hypothesis tests for population mean and proportion, Statistical Process Control, chi-square goodness of fit test, and contingency table analysis. The MINITAB statistical software package is used.
