HIST 3010 - Classical Greece & Rome 3 hours The course provides an overview of the histories of the ancient Greek and Roman empires. Themes discussed include the Greek “Dark Ages,” the rise of city-states Athens and Sparta, Alexander the Great and Hellenistic Greece, the expansion of Rome, the Roman republic and transition to imperial Rome, and the emergence of Christianity.
