EDUC 5019 - Assessment and Evaluation for Teacher Decision Making 4 hours Prerequisites: EDUC 5401 The goal of this course is to inform MAT candidates of assessment issues (e.g., standardized testing, pay for performance, TKES) and for them to learn strategies (providing effective feedback, teaching retrieval for retention) that positively affect student achievement. MAT candidates will take the lead in their field placements in selecting, administering, and applying results from informative classroom assessments. Successful completers of this course will be prepared to carry out assessment and evaluation response bilities by using formal and informal data to support their instructional decisions for diverse learners. Prerequisites: Successful completion of EDUC 5401 Early Field Studies and professional pass level score on appropriate GACE
