BIOL 2287 - Intro to Beekeeping

This course will survey all of the basic aspects of apiculture, from setting up a hive, basic hive maintenance, to honey production and pollination. Students have the opportunity to attend the beginner’s track of the Young Harris College Beekeeping Institute in May. Students will have direct contact with honeybees. A course fee will be required to cover registration costs for those who attend the YHC Institute.
