HIST 4004 - The Russian Revolution and Stalinism CI

Prerequisites: Must be a History major or minor or have permission of instructor. The course is designed to explore various historiographical traditions of the Russian Revolution and Stalinism. Topics to be covered: Russian autocracy, the February and October Revolutions, communism and the “new economic policy,” the rise of Stalin, collectivization, industrialization, purges, World Wars I and II, and the origins of the Cold War.When Offered: Fall or Spring Every Three Years
